Job Description

  1. Performs medical assistant procedures under supervision of physician or physician assistant.

  2. Assists physician in examinations.

  3. Gives instructions to patients as instructed by physician.

  4. Takes blood pressure, pulse, temperature and respiration, as appropriate.

  5. Assists patients any time need is apparent or as directed by the physician.

  6. Fit patients with splints and other DME devices

  7. Assists with any procedures that have been taught through formal training or by physician or physician assistant.

  8. Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.

  9. Triage and process physician messages

  10. Keeps medical records in accordance to procedures and forms.

  11. Follows principles of medical ethics for medical assistant.

  12. Keeps rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, gowns/shorts, washes and dries instruments used, and prepares sterilization as required.

  13. Initiate pre-operative paperwork

  14. Performs other duties as assigned

15. Flexibility in schedule a must.

EMR - EClinicalWorks experience a plus

Bilingual a plus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
