And those especially committed to caring for dogs with special needs (whether behavior or medical).
Position:
Responsible for all areas of care of the dogs boarding and training with us.
This includes walking dogs of all sizes (up to 150 pounds), cleaning kennels, floors, equipment etc.
, meal preparation, medication administration, tracking and conducting play groups.
Also responsible for communicating with training team to provide feedback on dog's behavior in the kennel and play yards; observing dog at trainer's direction to further assist with their training program.
Must be comfortable with handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
Some dogs may have a bite history and safe handling practices must be adhered to at all times.
Responsible for interacting with owners live and via email to keep them up to date on the dog's welfare in the kennel (including reminders to ship more food or medication).
Able and willing to problem solve with dogs who are reluctant to eat or go into their kennel, know how to bring in help when needed.
Must adhere to all Instinct policies including safety and operations policies, including mandatory attendance each day scheduled, and shifts on all holidays.
Some overnight shifts are required.
Weekend shift is required.
Skills/
Qualifications:
High School or GED required; advanced learning helpful Experience working with a variety of dogs (size and temperament) required.
Shelter or Doggie DayCare experience a huge plus.
Ability to read (or learn to read) dog body language and practice low stress handling techniques.
Ability to handle dogs with positive reinforcement (rewards).
NO punishment or force based methods are allowed.
Ability to physically handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments within safe handling guidelines Ability to follow policy and guidelines without direct supervision

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
