Summary:
The Safety Manager shall work with various entities within the organization to supervise and administer environmental health and safety (EH&S) services, programs, goals, and initiatives.
The Safety Manager shall be the liaison between the Compliance Department and Orthodontic practices from a safety and health perspective.
This person shall ensure and promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local rules and requirements including all Orthodontic and Dental safety programs.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Develops, manages, and implements safety program that fosters a culture of compliance.
Facilitates Safety Plan, Exposure Control Plan, Safety Data Sheets, Hazard Control Plan, etc.
Schedules presentations, drafts the agenda, and reports to the Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) committee.
Coordinates and runs Root Cause Analysis and tracks corrective actions.
Coordinates and tracks projects and initiatives related to patient safety, including failure mode effects analysis.
Conducts audits to gauge readiness of accrediting agencies such as Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Joint Commission, New York Dept of Buildings (DOB), and any other regulatory organizations as applicable.
Identifies staff opportunities for continuing education and provides training and drills.
Creates and implements in-house training materials and train employees when necessary.
Provide oversight to management staff to ensure safety compliance with established practices, to implement new policies, and to keep employees aware of changes and current standards.
May be responsible for creating, reviewing, and/or updating safety policies and procedures pertaining to department specific goals and objectives.
Collaborates with department leadership and committees to develop and implement short term and long-term plans.
Identifies contingency plans for potential risks.
Participate in department committees.
Performs other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
Bachelors Degree in health and safety, fire safety, or other science-related field required.

years of relevant experience in clinical healthcare and/or healthcare compliance and administration, experience in strategic planning, execution, formulating policy, and managing resources, required.
Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standard plus familiarity with DOE 10 CFR Part 851 highly desirable.
Valid Drivers License required.
Demonstrated ability to manage health and safety programs.
General skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
Ability to apply regulatory requirements to real world settings.
Ability to manage heavy workloads with minimal supervision and to prioritize competing demands efficiently.

Ability to respond to emergency situations as needed.
Recommended Skills Administration Analytical Auditing Cpr Clinical Works Construction Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
